Whole wheat waffles

Introduction

These are a tasty way to start the day. I use my Belgium waffle maker and get large round waffles, so I figure a serving to be 1/2 of a waffle.
I use 1/2 cup of mix for each waffle.

Ingredients

    1 1/2 cups whole wheat flour
    2 TBSP wheat germ
    1 large egg
    1 egg white whipped to soft peaks
    1 tsp vanilla
    2-3 tsp ground cinnamon
    1 cup fat free milk
    1 cup water
    1 tsp baking powder
    1/4 cup unsweetened applesauce
    1/2 tsp salt
    1 TBSP sugar OR
    3 tsp splenda

Directions

Mix all together except egg whites. Add egg whites and fold into mix.
Pour onto hot waffle iron 1/2 cup for my large round Belgium waffle maker.
