Jumpstart Italian bean soup

Introduction

a basic soup with a Italian taste that you can use alone, or you can expand on it by adding your own ingredients. a basic soup with a Italian taste that you can use alone, or you can expand on it by adding your own ingredients.

Ingredients

    1 medium carrot chopped
    2 cans tomatoes
    1 zucchini quartered and sliced
    1 lb Italian Sausage, pork ground (or casings removed)
    1 can low sodium low fat Chicken Broth
    2 cups great northern beans
    1 1/2 TBSP Italian seasoning
    water as needed

Directions

brown and drain sausage.
puree tomatoes in a blender
place tomatoes, broth, seasoning, and sausage in a pot to simmer. Add 2 cups water.

cut up vegetables.

add vegetables and beans to soup. continue cooking until veggies are as desired. add water as needed to have the soup the right consistency.

As you can see, this is a very simple and basic recipe. We thoroughly enjoyed it as it is.
