Ingredients

    1 19.2 oz. pkg. ground turkey
    1 medium onion chopped
    1 tbsp. olive oil
    1 15-oz. can chili hot beans
    1 15-oz. can red kidney beans
    1 c. bottled chili sauce
    1 tbsp. chili powder
    1/4 tsp. black pepper
    1/4 tsp. cumin
    1 tbsp. sugar
    4 c. tomato juice without salt

Directions

Cook chopped onion in olive oil until soft. Add ground turkey. Stir to crumble into small pieces and cook until no longer pink. Add chili hot beans with gravy. Drain kidney beans and add to soup. Measure 1 cup of chili sauce into a small bowl. Stir in the seasonings. Add a little of the tomato juice. Then stir the contents of the small bowl into the soup. Stir. Add the rest of the tomato juice. Stir well. Cook over medium heat stirring occasionally until soup begins to bubble. Simmer for 45 min.
Makes 8 1-cup servings.
