Fruit Cocktail Cake

Number of Servings: 9

Ingredients

    1 1/2 cups of flour
    1 tsp baking powder
    1 tsp baking soda
    1/2 cup sugar
    1- 30 oz. can fruit cocktail w/juice
    1 tsp vanilla
    1 egg
    1/2 cup nuts
    1/2 cup brown sugar

Directions

Mix dry ingredients in large bowl, add fruit cocktail, egg and vanilla. Mix thouroughly. Put in 8 x 8 greased pan. Bake 50 minutes at 350 degrees.

Great with a dollop of cool whip.

Best if eaten within 24 hours, as the fruit can get a little soggy at the bottom of the cake after setting for some time.
