Salt-Free Homemade Mustard

Salt-Free Homemade Mustard

Introduction

Used with grilled red meats or cold sandwiches. Used with grilled red meats or cold sandwiches.

Ingredients

    ¼ cup dry mustard
    ¼ cup white vinegar
    1/3 cup white wine
    1 tablespoon sugar
    3 egg yolks or 3/4 cup liquid eggs substitute

Directions

Blend together all ingredients except egg yolks. Let this mixture marinate for 30 minutes. Beat egg yolks into the mixture with an egg beater. Transfer to a double boiler or a saucepan with a heavy bottom. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly until slightly thickened, about 5 minutes. Remove from heat. Cool and store in a covered container for up to 1 month.
