Introduction

A healthier grilled tuna sandwich! I serve it with baked sweet potato fries. A healthier grilled tuna sandwich! I serve it with baked sweet potato fries.
Number of Servings: 2

Ingredients

    1 can tuna in water
    2 tablespoons nonfat plain yogurt
    1 tablespoon yellow mustard
    1 teaspoon garlic powder
    1/4 yellow onion finely chopped
    6-8 stocks fresh asparagus chopped

    1 roma tomato
    1/2 avocado
    4 slices whole wheat bread


Directions

Mix drained tuna, onion, asparagus, yogurt, mustard and garlic powder together in a small bowl.
Spread 1/4 of avocado evenly on wheat bread to make the bread moist. In non-stick pan place 2 slices of bread (one for each sandwich) avocado side up and distribute tuna evenly. Top with sliced tomato and second slice of bread (also with avocado facing in towards the tuna). Grill about 2 minutes on each side or until bread is toasted and tuna is warm.
Makes 2 sandwiches.
