Introduction

I use ground venison to make & freeze this mix without the apple. Then I thaw it and add the apple before making the patties to fry. I use ground venison to make & freeze this mix without the apple. Then I thaw it and add the apple before making the patties to fry.
Number of Servings: 15

Ingredients

    Mix and refrigerate overnight or freeze:
    3 lbs. of ground venison
    2 t. salt
    1 1/2 t. rubbed sage
    1 1/4 t. pepper
    3/4 t. ground nutmeg
    1/2 t. ground cinnamon

    Add before making patties:
    1 c. shredded/finely chopped peeled tart apple

    Make small patties and fry in heated oil until no longer pink:
    2 T. cooking oil

    Makes 15 or more small patties...

Directions

This recipe can also be done with ground rabbit or probably chicken or turkey.
