APPLE/PINEAPPLE SAUCE

Introduction

Used 9 large Rome Apples and 1 can crushed pineapple. (My favorites are MacIntosh) Used 9 large Rome Apples and 1 can crushed pineapple. (My favorites are MacIntosh)
Number of Servings: 16

Ingredients

    9 large cooking apples (your choice)
    can crushed pineapple
    cinnamon

Directions

Pare and quarter apples. Place in large saucepan. Pour pineapple over apples.
Simmer until tender. Sprinkle with cinnamon.
Makes 8 cups and a serving is 1/2 cup.

Note: some apples cook up more than others and some cook in less time.
