Ground beef sauce

Introduction

Sort of like bolognaise sauce but my grandmother's old recipe! Good with pasta or rice Sort of like bolognaise sauce but my grandmother's old recipe! Good with pasta or rice
Number of Servings: 4

Ingredients

    Ground beef, lean, 500 grams
    Onions, raw, 1 medium (2-1/2" dia) - chopped or grated
    Olive Oil, 1 1tsp
    Carrots, raw, 1 cup, chopped
    Tomato Passata, 250 gram(s)
    Cinnamon stick
    Garlic, 1 clove
    Salt and pepper

Directions

In a pan, heat the olive oil with the onions and garlic for a couple of minutes. Add the beef and cook until brown all over. Add the tomato sauce, carrots and cinnamon stick, pepper and water if needed. Bring to boil and turn the heat to very low. LEave it to cook for approximately 20 minutes or until the beef is completely cooked. 5-10 minutes before it's done add the salt. Hope you enjoy!
