This is very good! I switched out the sugar with Splenda and made my own crust to cut down on the fat from the pre-made shell. - 7/1/14

I no longer do crusts of any kind. I just do the cherry filling in a mug and cook it in the microwave. Lots less carbs and fats. And I keep on losing weight while having food fun. That works for me. - 7/1/15

I donīt consider a recipe with store bought crusts to be a recipe. Might as well buy the pie in a store!

  • I had never before made a cherry pie from scratch but this looked like an easy recipe. Used my own pastry and this filling exactly as written and am pleased to say it was a success. had company for dinner that night and they too raved over this wonderful pie. keep up the good work.

  • Wow! This was the absolute best pie I've ever made! Definitely the easiest, too! It was so fresh-tasting, without being weighted down by cornstarch or too much sugar. I'm making it again (2 days later) and trying just a bit less sugar, but the recipe really is perfect as is. Thanks for sharing! - 7/7/15
