Wash the brussel sprouts, trim the hard white bottom and peel off any loose leaves. Place the washed sprouts in a glass baking dish and drizzle with olive oil, pepper and garlic powder. Toss to coat. Bake in a 350 degree oven for 20 minutes. Check occaisonally. When done, outermost leaves will be crispy. The brussel sprouts carmelize a bit, so, this dish is more sweet than savory.

I thought they were really good. I don't get to eat brussel sprouts much so this is a great recipe to have when I do. They were too spicy for my girls to try even though I cut back on the pepper and garlic powder. My hubby likes spicy, but he didn't like these. To be fair, he's not big on sprouts.
I've never liked brussel sprouts but I made them for my bf for dinner on Valentine's Day cause they're his favorite. Wow!! I won't say I loved it, lol, but I did like it and am considering making it for my kids to try!
