I didn't have rice cereal so I ground up some wheat flakes. And instead of dipping in egg whites, I let my chicken marinate in some buttermilk for about 15 minutes (it's healthier than most people think and really enhances the ranch flavor). I took others' advice and only used 1/2 of a packet. Great - 1/27/09

Soooo good! I loved the crunchy texture of the Rice Krispies and so did my kids! I even used the left-over chicken to top a salad the next day with a little balsamic vinegar. This is definitely a recipe I will make over and over! - 2/1/09

You can make this recipe with 1/4 cup ranch and 1/3 cup bread crumbs. Just dip the chicken in the ranch then the bread crumbs. You dont need to use the butter or egg. And it still tastes amazing! - 2/3/09

This was great! I did modify it a bit and used panko bread crumbs rather than rice cereal- next time I'll also probably use less ranch as it was slightly too salty, which is a person taste. - 2/2/09

These came out really good. I used bread crumbs instead of crispy rice cereal, but I think next time I would use less because I had so much left over. I also added a little fat free plain yogurt to the egg whites for a extra flavor. I will totally make these again! - 2/1/09

I wish the original contributor would answer the many people who have asked this question: What temp. is it supposed to be cooked?
Please remember that not everyone is a natural-born cook (I can burn water) & some of us have no clue what temperature to use unless its in the recipe :( - 1/22/09

I used Fiesta Ranch mix & it gave it a nice flair. As many have said, you may want to use a bit less ranch dip than the recipie calls for...it was a bit salty in my batch too, but I think less powered ranch mix would have alleviated that. Was very good! I used cruched corn flakes because I didn't have rice cereal. It was still delicious. Not as crunchy but my hubby and kids really enjoyed the flavor. The ranch mix is a hit in everything at our house! - 1/19/09

  • This was really yummy recipe and easy to make. My 8 yr old dips it in A-1 sauce and calls it the best chicken dish ever. I used chicken tenders and planko and taste phenomenal. Will make a again and probably a go to week night recipe for us from now on. - 6/26/14

  • This sounds so good to me. I'm going to try it with almond meal instead of rice cereal so it's lower in carbs. Yum! - 5/8/14

  • When I pulled it out of the oven, my oldest (14) said, "oh now that looks good." Then he tried it and exclaimed, "Now this is something you need to make more often, it is awesome." So both my boys rated it, my 12 yo said very good, my 14 yo said excellent, and I am enjoying it too. - 2/23/14

  • Very delicious and moist chicken. We made extra chicken, but didn't increase coating, and it was still great. Used one whole egg, rather than 2 egg whites. Used parchment paper (for easier cleanup), and I lightly sprayed oil on paper and on top of chicken to help crisping/browning. Kids loved too! - 1/29/14

  • This was a great chicken dish. The chicken stays moist and it is very flavorful. My fiance even loved it and he is a picky eater. - 1/28/14

  • I loved the recipe and I don't even like ranch. It also tastes great on porkchops. When you mix the rice krispys, parmesan and ranch the ranch mix wants to sink to the bottom of the mixture, so make sure you spoon some of the mix from the bottom on to each piece. - 1/26/14

  • Is the serving size 4 oz of cooked chicken?
We had this again this evening for dinner. Was a bit hit and will make it again. I had so much of the topping leftover that I prepared dinner for a friend with the remainder. - 1/26/14
