Ingredients

    36 oz raw venison/beef
    1 cup chopped onion
    3 large stalks celery chopped
    2 cloves garlic
2 cups mushrooms sliced (or 2 cans)
    1 bottle of red wine
1 cup water or beef broth
    6 small potatoes grated

Directions

Brown meat in olive oil; remove meat from pan & sautee onion & celery; add garlic & meat; stir to combine; add any type of seasoning (bay leaf, oregano, basil, salt, pepper, etc..); add bottle of wine & enough water/broth to cover contents; simmer on med-low heat until wine has reduced down (you should not be able to smell the wine anymore at this point) about 2 to 2-1/2 hours. Add mushrooms & grated potatoes; cook for another 2 hours; stir occasionally to prevent burning; serve hot!
