Crock Pot Country Ribs

Ingredients

2 1/2 to 3 lb. pork ribs
1 tbsp. oil
1 large onion, sliced
Sauce:
1/3 cup soy sauce
1/2 cup tomato ketchup
1 tbsp. prepared mustard
3 tbsp. brown sugar
2 cloves garlic, minced
2 tbsp. apple cider vinegar
1 teaspoon celery seed
Black pepper, to taste
Directions
For best results, trim excess fat from ribs. You can also opt to use riblets, boneless country style ribs or button bones. All kinds of pork rib varieties I've tried for this recipe turn out equally well. Use a large skillet to brown the ribs in oil. Once browned transfer the ribs to your slow cooker. Top with onion slices. Combine the remaining ingredients and pour over ribs and onions. Cover and cook on low for 8 to 10 hours. Serves 6.
