Tara's Supreme Veggie Pizza

Introduction

Ingredients

    Crust:
    1.5 Cups Whole Wheat Flour
    3/4 Cup Yellow Cornmeal
    1/2 Pkg Active Dry Yeast
    1/2 Tsp Sea Salt
    1-1/2 Tbsp Vegetable Oil
    3/4 Cup Warm Water

    Toppings:
    1 Cup Pizza Sauce of your choice
    2 Cups Low Fat Mozzerella Cheese
    1/2 Cup Onions, chopped
    1/2 Cup Green Peppers, chopped
    1/2 Cup Portabella Mushrooms, Sliced
    1 Cupe Fresh Spinach

Directions

In large bowl, combine 1/2 cup flour, 1/2 cup Cornmeal, yeast, and salt. Stir in vegetable oil and water and mix well. Add remainder of flour until it forms a stiff dough. Knead on lightly floured surface about 5 minutes. Place in greased bowl and let rise about 1-1/2 hours, until it is doubled, then punch down.

Grease two large cookie sheets with vegetable shortening and dust with 1 tbsp cornmeal. Roll until crust is 1/8 in thick.

Bake for 10 mins without toppings. Once finished you can store for 2 days or top your pizza crust and bake for another 15-35 mins until crust is golden brown and toppings are heated through.
