Corn Bread




Number of Servings: 12

Ingredients

    1 C. flour
    1 C cornmeal
    1/4 C sugar
    4 tsp. baking powder
    3/4 tsp. salt
    1 C milk (Silk for calculation)
    2 eggs
    1/4 C vegetable shortening

Directions

In a mixing bowl, combine flour, cornmeal, sugar, baking powder, and salt. Add the milk, eggs, and shortening; beat for 1 minute. Pour into a greased 9" square pan. Bake at 425 for 22-25 minutes or until bread is golden brown and tests done. Yield: 12 servings
