Ingredients

1 cup brown rice
2 tbsp oil
2 tsp chili powder
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp each, oregano, cumin, and garlic powder
1 tbsp dry onion
1 cup tomato sauce
2 cups water
Directions
In a 2-qt saucepan, heat the oil. Toast the rice over med-high heat until opaque. Add the rest of the ingredients, stir well and bring to a boil. Cover, reduce heat and simmer on low until rice is cooked through, about 30-45 minutes.
