Homemade Old Fashion Sugar Cookie

Introduction

These are a moist sugar cookie. Of course you can change items to make them more healthful. These are a moist sugar cookie. Of course you can change items to make them more healthful.
Number of Servings: 60

Ingredients

    1 Cup Butter
    2 cups sugar
    4 cups sifted flour
    1 tsp baking soda
    1 cup evaporated milk
    1 cup pecans
    1 can (20 oz) crushed pineapple - drained
    2 eggs separated
    1 tsp salt
    1 tsp lemon juice
    1 tsp vanilla extract

Directions

1. Preheat oven to 375
2. Cream shortening, sugar and egg yolks
3. Add lemon juice to milk
4. Sift flour, salt & Soda
5. Add dry ingredients and liquid.
6. Beat in vanilla
7. Stir in pecans & Pineapple
8. Beat egg whites until stiff but not dry, fold into batter.
9. Drop batter by spoonful, flatten each cookie lightly with back of spoon. You may sprinkle with sugar or cinnamon if desired
10. Bake for 12 minutes approximately
