Introduction

I only recently discovered the turnip and found that they make great potato replacers for a lower calorie meal. Add a glass of milk or juice and its a great breakfast. Can also be done with an alternative of meat(soy sausage) to make it vegetarian. I only recently discovered the turnip and found that they make great potato replacers for a lower calorie meal. Ingredients

    Turnips, 100 grams, about 1 cup
    Hillshire Farm Turkey Smoked Sausage, 3 oz (or meat alternative)
    Garlic, 1 clove crushed
    Onions, raw, 3 tbsp chopped
    Green Peppers (bell peppers), 3 tbsp

Directions

grate turnip and set aside
saute onion, pepper and garlic until tender crisp, add sausage and cook until warm, add turnip and cook until soft
