No-Bake Bars

Introduction

I don't know where this recipe originally came from. Note: You need chocolate chips and butterscotch chips. Could not find butterscotch chips in the system, but calorie count on both packages were the same. I don't know where this recipe originally came from. Number of Servings: 32

Ingredients

    2 cups Chocolate chips
    2 cups Butterscotch chips
    6 cups crushed Corn Flakes
    1.5 cups chunky peanut butter
    1 cup dark Karo syrup
    1 cup sugar

Directions

Prepare 9x12" pan. Spray with Pam and set aside.

In small bowl microwave chocolate chips and butterscotch chips. (2 minutes). Set aside.

In large bowl crush corn flakes, then add peanut butter, mix and set aside.

In pan combine syrup and sugar and cook until it comes to a boil. Just a few minutes, so watch it.

Add syrup mixture to corn flakes mixture, then spread in prepared pan using spatula to press mixture evenly. Spread melted chips on top. Wait about 5 minutes, then cut bars, even though the topping will fill in the cut marks. Then you can recut them later. when topping is cool.

NOTE: BE SURE TO CUT THESE BARS BEFORE THEY GET COOL OR YOU MAY NOT BE ABLE TO CUT THEM AT ALL AND YOU WILL HAVE ONE BIG BAR WHICH YOU WILL HAVE TO BREAK APART.
