I make this outside on the grill. Only I use olive oil spray, lower fat grams. I'm gonna try this in the broiler. I love charded veggies cold on my salads too. Great instead of a meat. - 2/20/13

I roast/bake my asparagus rather than broiling - 400 degrees. If you want to avoid salt, toss in the oil and a generous sprinkling of Mrs. Dash original flavour. Roast for at least 10 minutes. In my opinion, the toastier the asparagus, the more delicious. And I hate vegetables! - 6/25/12

  • How does cooking olive oil in a recipe work? Looking at the nutritional value, it is usually around 120 calories a tablespoon. Should we figure that the calories cook out? I see that this entire recipe with olive oil and the asparagus is only 57 calories. - 1/10/14
