IntroductionThis is very easy, I usually makes this at Christmas and Thanksgiving. Easy to double for a crowd. You can take to a pot luck too. This is very easy, I usually makes this at Christmas and Thanksgiving. Easy to double for a crowd. You can take to a pot luck too.
1 lb green beans or haricot verts ends trimmed
2 tsp olive oil
1 tsp minced garlic
Â½ cup chopped green onions
Â¼ tsp dried oregano
Â¼ tsp dried thyme
Â¼ tsp dried tarragon
Â¼ tsp dried marjoram
Â¼ tsp freshly ground black pepper
Suggestion: I substitute 1 tsp of Herbes de Provence for the herbs listed above. I use 2 tsp because I like lots of herbs.
Drain and plunge into cold water to stop cooking. Drain well.
Meanwhile, heat oil in a large sautÃ© pan over medium heat.
Add garlic and green onions and sautÃ© for 2 minutes.
Stir in beans, herbs and pepper. SautÃ© and stir until all are heated throughout.
Transfer to a serving dish or casserole dish. May be served hot or at room temp.
