Introduction

I cogitated on this recipe for about a week.. I love creamy soups but have avoided them religiously for nearly a year... and I WANTED clam chowder... so I figured the best defense was to make up my own recipe... it was an instant hit! Good. I altered. No bacon, no canned potatoes. Reduce dry milk & potato flakes to 1/4c. Dice 1c fresh potatoes & carrots - add to mirepoix. Add 2c chicken stock to mirepoix & saute till tender. Increase pepper to 1tbsp. Add 2c more chicken stock after veggies are tender. Simmer 15 mins. Serve. - 1/27/10
