Introduction

Ingredients

    For traditional version, use uncooked chicken breast.

    Foster farms grilled strips, 12 oz cut into 1" bite size pieces.
    Onions, raw, 1 large
    Ghee, Clarified butter, 2 tbsp or cooking oil
    coriander ground powder, 1 tsp
    *Cumin ground, 1 tsp
    Garlic paste, 1 tsp
    Ginger paste, 1 tsp
    *Peppers, hot chili, green, fresh, 3 or more to taste
    Desi whole yogurt, .5 cup
    Lime Juice, .5 lime yields (to taste) for garnish
    Cashew Nuts, dry roasted, 1 oz garnish

Directions

In a 2 qt. pot, heat ghee or oil and fry onions for 5 minutes till transparent. Blend it with green chili and yogurt in a blender till smooth. Wtih the rest of oil, fry cumin and coriander powders, drop in garalic and ginger pastes, fry until fragrant, pour the yogurt, chili, onion paste. Drop the roasted chicken pieces and bring to a boil. Let simmer for 10-15 minutes until the chicken absorbs the flavor and taste of the sauce. Garnish with cashews or blanched almond slices and lime/lemon juice. Serve hot!
