Kolatchy (yeast)

Submitted by: MARIENICKLAS

Introduction

My mom made these every holiday. We would wake up and she would have them fresh out of the oven. I make them much smaller than she did, but they are just as delicious! Take out of bowl and cut in half. Roll first half and cut with small round cookie cutter. Repeat with second half. Place cookies on cookie sheets and cover until they rise again. Indent with thumb and add small amount of fruit filling. Heat at 350 degrees for 15 minutes, but check after about 12 minutes to make sure they are browning. Do not over cook.
