Angel Biscuits - Whole Wheat

Introduction

My children love these lighter than usual buscuits but I have gone to making things 100% whole wheat which makes them too heavy for them. I have taken the recipe and made it healthier as a compromise for my children. My children love these lighter than usual buscuits but I have gone to making things 100% whole wheat which makes them too heavy for them. I have taken the recipe and made it healthier as a compromise for my children.
Number of Servings: 24

Ingredients

    2 cups Whole Wheat flour
    2-3 cups bread flour
    1 cube butter
    1 teaspoon soda
    1 teaspoon baking powder
    1 teaspoon salt
    3 tablespoons honey
    1 package yeast
    1/2 cup warm water
    2 cups buttermilk

Directions

Sift dry ingredients together, cut in butter thoroughly. Warm buttermilk and yeast and dissolve yeast in it..
Mix with spoon until all flour is moistened. Cover bowl and refrigerate until needed. Take out as much dough as needed, roll on a floured board to 1/2 or 1/3 inch thick. Cut and bake at 400' for 12 minutes.

For Christmas we cut them with cookie cutters into chrismas shapes.
