Introduction

I make this honey-sweetened chai latte for my mom for a sweet dessert drink that's still healthy for her. I make this honey-sweetened chai latte for my mom for a sweet dessert drink that's still healthy for her.
Number of Servings: 1

Ingredients

    1 chai tea bag
    8-10 oz boiling water
    1/3 cup half and half
    appx 1/2 tbsp light-flavored honey
    ALL SPICES ARE TO TASTE, here are general ideas:
    1/4 tsp cinnamon
    1/4 tsp cardamom
    scant 1/8 tsp nutmeg
    scant 1/8 tsp cloves
    pinch ginger

Directions

Heat water on stove - water does not boil properly in microwave.

Place tea bag in a tall mug and cover with a lid or plate for 6 minutes minimum (up to 8).

While tea steeps gently heat half and half in small saucepan, being careful not to burn (this is just so it doesn't cool off your Cuppa. If you want it warmer instead of scalding hot, don't heat the cream).
Pour the cream into the tea (leave the tea-bag), and drizzle in the honey. Sprinkle the spices in, then remove tea, bag and stir well to dissolve spices.

Serve hot or cold, it's up to you!

Makes about 12 oz.
