Buckeye ( chocolate covered peanut butter balls)

Introduction

Should look like a chocolate covered eye. (buckeye) Should look like a chocolate covered eye. (buckeye)
Number of Servings: 96

Ingredients

    3 lbs Powdered Sugar,
    2 lbs Algood Peanut Butter Creamy,
    1 lb Margarine like spread, approximately 40% fat,
    2 lbs Semisweet chocolate chips

Directions

Mix together the powder sugar, margarine and peanut butter until all is mixed well. Make 96 2 inch balls.
Shave parafaine wax in pan and melt down once melted put in the chocolate chip and melt down. Remove from heat and start dipping the peanut butter balls in the chocolate. Don't cover the entire ball leave the top open. Place on wax paper until chocolate is hard.

  • My mom has made these for Christmastime every year for I think 40 years. It's really fun with kids! I did it when I was a kid and now the grandkids do it.   • HIT AT THE PARTY! I DIPPED SOME IN WHITE CHOCOLATE AND THEN ON SOME I DRIZZLED THE WHITE CHOCOLATE OVER THE DIPPED CHOCOLATE ONES FOR A FANCY LOOK! - 5/21/09
