*You can add thickening if you want this to be more like a beef stew consistancy, otherwise it's more of a soup than a stew.

Number of Servings: 10

Ingredients

    2 Lbs venison cut into cubes
    1\2 medium onion chopped
    2 tbsp smart balance spread (for cooking)
    1 packet Iron Skillet Stew Seasoning
    8 cups of water
    ~20 baby carrots (cut in half)
    4 large potatoes - cubed
    1 can peas (I used small 1-1.5 cup can)
    1 can corn (I used small 1-1.5 cup can)
    garlic powder to taste (optional)

Directions

Heat butter in large sauce pan (pot, kettle)
Caramelize Onion with garlic salt
Add venison cubes & 1 cup water
Cook until browned

While venison is cooking,
Mix Seasoning & water in crockpot
Add all other ingredients
Turn crockpot on high

When venison is browned - add to crockpot
Cover cook on high at least 1 hour to season through
Heat on low for an additional 1 - 3 hours until veggies are desired tenderness.

***Add an additional 12 calories per serving for the seasoning packet***
