Introduction

After living in Brazil for 5 years, and having black beans on our menu twice a day, 6 days a week, I decided to jazz up a soup for my family. We are back in the States now, but still crave the taste and smell of the black beans boiling on the stove. The broth is "thin", and this makes a good in-between meals snack.

For a heartier soup, when reheating, I add 1 oz. of whole grain rotini per serving and add it into my nutrition separately.
