Turkey Sloppy Joes

Ingredients

    1 lb of ground turkey
    1/4 cup of your favorite BBQ sauce
    1 8oz. can tomato sauce
    1/2 medium onion, diced
    3 tbsp canola oil
    1 clove of garlic, finely minced
    2 tsp worcestershire sauce
    1/2 tsp cayenne pepper
    salt and pepper to taste

Directions

1 Heat canola oil in a pan until well-heated, then add onions and garlic, cooking until onions are softened and translucent.
2 Crumble ground turkey into pan and be sure to break up any remaining large clumps of meat with a cooking utensil.
3 Add worcestershire sauce and spices and cook until the meat is evenly browned
4 Add tomato sauce and stir in until the meat is evenly coated, then add BBQ sauce and do the same.
5 Lower heat slightly and allow the mixture to simmer for another 5 - 10 minutes. You can add a few tablespoons of water if you are concerned that the sauce is becoming too thick.
6 Serve on hamburger buns.
