Ingredients

    * Yellow Cornmeal, 1 cup
    * *Flour, white, 1 cup
    * Baking Powder, 3 tsp
    * Salt, 1 tsp
    * Granulated Sugar, .25 cup
    * Butter, salted, 1 stick
    * Milk, 2%, 1 cup
    * Egg, fresh, 1 large

Directions

Sift dry ingredients together. Cut in butter. Beat eggs and milk together. Add to dry mixture till just combined. Pour batter into a 9x5 buttered loaf pan. Cook for 45 min at 375. Recipe may be doubled and placed in a 13x9 pan.
