Heart's Beef & cabbage fry

Submitted by: HEART4HRT

Introduction

This was a concotion I made from ingredients that I had on hand. My family of 5 loved it, so I thought that I should write it down to make it again. This was a concotion I made from ingredients that I had on hand. My family of 5 loved it, so I thought that I should write it down to make it again.
Number of Servings: 5

Ingredients

1 pound beef sirloin, fat trimmed off
    1 medium head of cabbage
    3 carrots
    1 small onion
    1 medium red pepper
    1cup water
Mrs Dash garlic herb seasoning to taste

Directions

I am not exact on the prep and cooking times, I know it took almost an hour total.

1) Trim fat from meat and cut meat into bite size pieces. Cut onion into slices. Cut red pepper into strips. Put meat, onion and red pepper into a non-stick pan, cook on medium-high until meat is brown.
2) While meat is cooking, cut cabbage into small shreds. Cut carrots into matchstick size pieces. When meat is brown add cabbage, carrots, water, and seasoning.
3) Reduce heat, cover, and simmer until vegetables are tender and water is almost gone.

This made enough for my family of 5.
