Introductionthis is a great dip and I used lower fat varieties of the ingredients to make it healthier. It was great like this and people at our football party loved it. I usually prepare mine in the crockpot. this is a great dip and I used lower fat varieties of the ingredients to make it healthier. It was great like this and people at our football party loved it. Great recipe! I have always used Velvetta and Sage sausage in the past. To make it with less calories I would use 2% Velvetta. It was the Sage sausage that always made it different from everyone elses! Don't know if you can find that lite or fat-free. If you can please let me know! - 10/3/09
I've make this regularly for years when we have get togethers at our home. It's delicious! People just can't get enough of it! - 1/9/09

I had made the full fat version frequently and tried the lower fat version yesterday and so some of my guests who are dieting were really impressed when they found out this was better for them. I had very little left.
