Red Beans & Rice (quick version)

Introduction

I used leftover oven baked brown rice, canned kidney beans, green beans and turkey smoked sausage. All the ingredients were already prepared, so all it required was opening cans, slicing sausage and heating a skillet! And it's super filling! Ingredients

    2 Cups Oven Baked Brown Rice **
    1 Pkg Jennie-O Lean Smoked Turkey Sausage, sliced
    1 Can S&W Stewed Italian Recipe Tomatoes
    1 Can Del Monte Cut Green Beans No Salt Added - drained
    1 Can S&W Kidney Beans (50% less salt) - drained & rinsed

Directions

Slice the sausage into 1/4 inch thick rounds. Rinse & drain the kidney beans. Combine all ingredients in a large non-stick skillet, heat over medium high for 10 minutes, or until heated through. I used leftover oven baked brown rice (many recipes available here on sparkrecipes).

Makes 9 one-cup servings.

**Baked rice recipe 2 cups contains 1/2 tbsp butter & 1/4 tsp salt.
