IntroductionThis is a famiy favorite. Even my daughter, who does not like chocolate likes it! This is a famiy favorite. Even my daughter, who does not like chocolate likes it!
2 Cups Flour
2 Cups Sugar
1 tsp Cinnamon
1 tsp Baking Soda
2 Sticks Margarine
1 Cup Water
4 Tbsp Cocoa Powder
2 large eggs
1/2 Cup Buttermilk
Preheat oven to 350
In large PYREX bowl (you will be pouring hot
liquid in here so this is important), mix together flour, sugar, baking soda and cinnamon.
In medium saucepan, bring margarine, water and cocoa to boil (this boils over easy so watch it).
Add hot mixture to dry ingredients.
Stir- don't beat - until mixed thoroughly. Add eggs and buttermilk. Beat just until mixed.
Pour onto cookie sheet and bake 15-20 minutes.
Allow to cool, then you can cut it into pieces using a knfe or a deep cookie cutter.
