Texas Turkey Chili

Introduction

This is just thrown together one snowy day in Chicago!! Very tasty and warm for the belly!! This is just thrown together one snowy day in Chicago!! Very tasty and warm for the belly!!
Number of Servings: 8

Ingredients

    1 can hormel chili with beans
    1 10 oz can rotel tomatoes with green chilis
    1/2 cup salsa
    20 oz package of ground turkey breast, browned
    3 garlic cloves, smashed
    1 large green pepper chopped
    1 large onion chopped
    3 tbls taco seasoning
    1/2 to 1 cup beef broth
    1/4 cup water

Directions

Brown turkey, onion, green pepper & garlic, add broth. cook for about 5 min. add taco mix and water, bring to boil and simmer 5 min. Add chili, tomatoes and salsa, bring to boil lower heat to simmer and cover. I replaced all ingredients with low sodium and the sodium count became higher so I'm not sure what happened but the sodium count is definately way off!!! This came out delicious and I spiced it up on my own with hot sauce and red pepper flakes to each personal preference!
