White Bean Soup



Introduction

Ingredients

    1 cup cooked, diced chicken
    1 cup carrots, diced
    1 can reduced-sodium chicken broth
    1 cup water
    1/2 can chickpeas or navy beans
    1/2 tsp dried thyme leaves
    1 1/2 tsp liquid smoke

Directions

Bring broth and water to boil. Meanwhile, dice the chicken and vegetables, rinse and drain the beans. Add to soup pot with dried thyme. Reduce heat, simmer 15 minutes. Stir in liquid smoke and let stand 5 minutes.
