Ingredients

    Brown Rice, cooked, about 1 cup or to taste
    Salsa, we use medium, use what you like
    Beans, we use pinto mostly, but black beans also work really well in this recipe
    Onion, chopped, usually 1 whole small onion
    Garlic, about 2 medium size cloves

Directions

The onion and garlic are optional, but they do give a nice added spice to the dish, so if you use them you would saute them gently in the pan first, just to soften the onion a little.

Then place remaining ingredients in the pan and gently warm them together, about 20 minutes or so until all the flavors blend.

The amount of ingredients is variable depending on the consistency and flavor you like in the finished product.

We serve this with fresh cornbread (easy and quick) or on tortillas. Sour cream and Frank's Louisiana Hot Sauce are our condiments of choice.
