Buttermilk Biscuits

Ingredients

Baking Powder, 3 tsp
Salt, 1/2 tsp
Baking Soda, 1/4 tsp
Buttermilk, lowfat, 3/4 cup
*Flour, white, 2 cup
Shortening, 1/3 cup
Directions
Preheat oven to 450
Sift dry ingredients into bowl.
Cut in the shortening, into course crumbs.
Make a well; add milk all at once. Stir quickly with a fork until the dough follows the fork around the bowl.
Turn onto lightly floured surface. Knead gently, do not over work.
Roll dough into 1/2 inch thickness. Dip cutter into flour and cut into biscuits. Bake 12-15 minutes.
Makes 12 biscuits
