Beauty's Chili

Submitted by: JEFFSBEAUTY

Introduction

This is a chili recipe that I came up with one cold winter day while rummaging through the cabinets. I hope you enjoy it.

I use whatever meats I already have in the house or in the fridge. Sometimes there's ground beef, ground turkey, sausage, chicken, steak, etc. This is a rough idea of the ingredients I use, but it's meant to be a "leftover/scraps chili" and it never tastes exactly the same.

Number of Servings: 15

Ingredients

    1 pound of lean hamburger
1 roll of light pork sausage or turkey sausage
    1 onion, chopped
    1 green pepper, chopped
1 or 2 red peppers, chopped
    1 clove of garlic
    1 can of cannellini beans
1 can of red kidney beans
1 can of Bush's Chili starter beans, medium
1 large can of crushed tomatoes
1 can of diced tomatoes with chiles
1 jar of spaghetti sauce of your choice. I used Francesco Rinaldi Meat flavor because it was already opened and in the fridge.

Directions

Chop the peppers and onions, brown with the garlic, hamburger and sausage. Add the cans of beans and tomatoes and jar of sauce. Stir, and simmer for approximately 3 or more hours.
