Chicken and sage dumplings

Introduction

Wholesome and delicious. The ultimate comfort food! Cooked in slow cooker. Cooks in 2hrs and 10 minutes. Wholesome and delicious. The ultimate comfort food! Cooked in slow cooker. Cooks in 2hrs and 10 minutes.
Number of Servings: 3

Ingredients

    9 oz Boneless, skinless chicken breast
    2 cups 99% fat free chicken broth
    1 tsp rosemary
    Dash of pepper and salt

    Dumplings:
    1 cup and 2 tbsp self-rising flour
    1/2 cup 2% milk
    1 medium egg
    1 tsp sage (or to taste)


Directions

Cut chicken into 1 to 2 inch pieces (optional but decreases cooking time). Add chicken broth, cut up chicken, rosemary, salt and pepper to slow cooker. Cook on high for 1 hour and 30 minutes.

Mix flour, egg, milk, and sage together. Roll out and cut into 2 inch squares. Add to crock pot with chicken. Cook for about 20 minutes on high, then about another 20 minutes on low. Stir occasionally.
