Linda's Chicken Curry

Introduction

Something different to do with chicken. Something different to do with chicken.
Number of Servings: 4

Ingredients

    6 chicken thighs cut in 4 pieces each
    4 tblsp oil
    2 medium potatoes large diced
    2 medium onion large diced
    2 large carrots sliced
    2 tblsp curry powder
    4 cloves garlic minced
    dash black pepper (to taste)
    1 tsp salt
    2 cups water or more if desired
    flour to thicken if desired

Directions

1. Cut up and fry chicken till golden in oil.
2. Add diced vegetables and seasonings. 3.Continue frying for 2 minutes on low.
4. Add water. Cover with lid and simmer 1 hour stiring ocassionaly. Add water if needed.
Serve with rice or flatbread.
Serves 4

    You are a hypocrite! You knocked one of my recipes due to the sodium content and this recipe of yours has a sodium content of 707.8 mg! Ya I’ll be listening to you! - 7/24/07

    Actually... I never advertised it as low sodium... Eve tho it is reasonable between 700 and 800 mg. What are you griping about? I see no recipe of yours on here... yet you claim I knocked it over salt content?

  • I have made something similar to this but I use breast meat as a healthier alternative to thighs. Also, some garam masala adds a little more flavor to the dish. - 3/14/07
