Slow Cooker Chicken Cacciatore

Number of Servings: 6

Ingredients

    6 chicken thighs, skin removed
    2 cups whole mushrooms
    1 green pepper
    1 medium onion
    28 oz can tomato sauce
    28 oz can crushed tomatoes
    1/2 c red wine
    1/4 c basil pesto

Directions

1. Brown chicken thighs in a hot skillet. (optional)
2. Chop pepper into 1/2 inch pieces, quarter mushrooms, and slice onions.
3. Combine remaining ingredients in slow cooker. Add vegetables and chicken.
4. Cook on high for 3-4 hours or on low for 7-8 hours.

One serving is one thigh and 1/6 of the sauce and vegetables.
