Creamed Spinach

Ingredients

    1/4 c onion chopped
    4 strips bacon
    1/4 tsp garlic
    2 tbsp butter
    1/2 c flour
    1 1/4 tsp salt
    1/4 tsp pepper
    3 c milk
    3 pkg spinach 10 oz each chopped thawed and queezed dry


Directions

in a large skillet cook theonions bacon and garlic in butter over medium heat until bacon is crisp. (I had bacon precooked and then crumbled in in pan and sauted it w/ onion and butter). Stir in the flour, salt and pepper until blended. Gradually add milk. Bring to a boil; cook and stri for 2 minutes or untill thickened. Stir in spinach cook until spinach is heated, about 15 minutes.
