Introduction

a healthy alternative to regular style chocolate chip cookies. you can substitute the nuts and chocolate chips from anything from dry fruit to nothing but oatmeal. a healthy alternative to regular style chocolate chip cookies. you can substitute the nuts and chocolate chips from anything from dry fruit to nothing but oatmeal.
Number of Servings: 12

Ingredients

    1 c brown sugar
    1 stick butter
    1 c ww flour
    1 large egg
    1 tsp vanilla
    1/2 tsp salt
    1/2 tsp soda
    1 c oats
    1/4 c chocolate chips
    1/4 c nuts

    the original recipe calls for a cup of chips and a cup of nuts but i decrease it to watch calories

Directions

mix all the ingredients in a bowl. use ice cream scoop to measure out 12 balls. put on ungreased cookie sheet. cook at 350 for 10-12 minutes. make look a little soft in the middle, but remove them from the cookie sheet, and let them cool on a rack, and they'll firm up perfectly.

you can also add flaxseed, pb chips instead of chocolate chips,seeds, other nuts, etc.
