Grilled Pork with Hoisin Sauce

Introduction

This is one of my family's favorite dishes. My teenagers will actually ask me to make it! This is one of my family's favorite dishes. My teenagers will actually ask me to make it!
Number of Servings: 8

Ingredients

    1/2 c. dry white wine
    2 cloves garlic, minced
    2 T sugar
    1 T low-salt soy sauce
    1/3 c. hoisin sauce
    1 3/4 lbs. lean pork tenderloin

    Brushing sauce:
    1/4 c. low-salt soy sauce
    2 T honey

Directions

Marinade: Combine first 5 ingredients in a ziploc bag, mix well and add tenderloin. Make sure that pork is completely covered with marinade and place in refrigerator 2 -3 3 hours minimum, or overnight. Turn occasionally.

Brushing Sauce: Mix soy sauce and honey.

When grill is hot, remove pork from marinade. Place meat on grill rack 4 - 6 inches from heat source. Grill until done, turning and burshing with brushing sauce every 2 - 3 minutes. Pork should be cooked through and golden brown on outside.

Transfer pork to serving platter and let stand 5 minuts (VERY important, or pork will be dry). Cut into thin slices and serve.
