Introduction

Simple throw together dish. Great on tortillas, or with chicken. Simple throw together dish. Great on tortillas, or with chicken.

Ingredients

    282g canned black beans
    1 can Rotel
    2 cups cooked brown rice
    Garlic pepper to taste
    5g. chopped Cilantro

Directions

Rinse beans
Add all ingredients to a saucepan and heat over medium high heat until all ingredients are heated.

  • Mmmhhh... I am not sure I can find Rotel in Maine... Can I replace with a tomato sauce or salsa? What would you say comes closest in taste to Rotel? And also, what size the can should be? Thanks for sharing! This recipe sounds great as a post workout! :-) - 1/15/09

    Diced tomatoes and green chilies are the closest - You could probably use picante sauce and get really close to the flavor.
