Ingredients

1 bottom round steak cut in chunks
1 onion, cut in chunks
1 lb potatoes cut in chunks
2 cups carrots, cut in chunks
2 tbs thyme
3 garlic cloves
8 ounces mushrooms cut in chunks
1 bottle red wine
Directions
brown chunks of beef in large heavy pot - remove
add vegetables, except mushrromsand sautee
add meat back
add bottle of red wine
bring to boil and then reduce to a simmer
add bay leaf, thyme, rosemary and garlic
simmer 2 -3 hours
