Beefy Onion w/ Mushroom Gravy

Introduction

My entire family loves this beef dish.
I usually substitute lean stew meat for steak, to save time cutting the steak into strips.
Serves a family of 4, just add a salad.

Serves a family of 4, just add a salad.

Ingredients

    Beef, round steak, 1 lb (cut into strips and diced)
    Non-stick cooking spray
    *Soup, LIPTON, RECIPE SECRETS ONION, Mix, Dry, 1 1 oz packet
    Water, tap, .5 cup + 2 Tblsp
    *A1 steak Sauce, 1 tbsp
    Mushrooms, canned, 3 cup
    *Minute Rice, 2 cup
    Cornstarch, 1 Tblsp

Directions

Cut steak into strips and dice into cubes.
Spray a skillet with cooking spray and heat.
Add the beef and brown 3-4 minutes.
In a small bowl combine soup mix, 1/2 cup water, and steak sauce; mix well.
Add soup mixture and mushrooms to beef; gently toss together.
Reduce heat, cover and simmer 12 minutes.
Make your Minute Rice according to the directions on the box.
Meanwhile, combine 2 Tblsp water and 1 Tblsp cornstarch; blend well.
Stir into the beef; cover and cook an additional 2-3 minutes.
Serve over rice with a side salad.
